Are GUI Agents Focused Enough? Automated Distraction via Semantic-level UI Element Injection

This study tests black-box GUI-grounding failures caused by strategically added, innocuous-looking UI elements. Its iterative overlay search is compared with random injection and repeated independent grounding trials to distinguish persistent misdirection from incidental clutter.
